Duncan Alexander McIntyre arrived in Portland, Victoria from Glencoe, Scotland. The City of Melbourne was only seven years old. A new land, a new beginning — the foundations of a family legacy were laid in the rugged frontier of colonial Australia.
Across four generations, the McIntyre family established themselves across pastoral lands, commerce, and community. Each generation carried forward the founding spirit of ambition, resilience, and stewardship of the land.
Alex McIntyre built a diversified portfolio spanning property development, equine estates, and commercial ventures across Melbourne's western growth corridor — establishing the family office that would become the Duncan McIntyre Group.
Today, the second generation is taking the Group further than ever. Led from 2 Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne, we are scaling high-growth consumer finance businesses through Faster Financial — with over 20,000 loans originated and a $10M+ lending book — while expanding our property ventures across 278 hectares of strategically positioned land in Melbourne's western corridor. What began with a single vision has become a multi-disciplinary family office operating at the intersection of property, capital, and technology — always building, always moving forward.
